Who are we?

Woodcraft Folk is a co-operative youth movement, open to everyone.

Our activities develop children and young people’s understanding of the world around them, and their respect for it, including other cultures and the natural environment.

Who are we looking for?

No experience needed, although we are looking for volunteers who are committed to supporting children and young people to have their voices heard and bring about the changes they want to see in their communities.

If you have the time, the energy and the heart then we would love to hear from you.

About the roles

We have a wide range of roles available: Local groups, online, event planning. We will work with you to match an opportunity to your availability and interests.

Group Leader:

Commit to a local weekly group, helping to organise games, craft and social action opportunities for children and young people aged 6-21 years.

If you can’t commit each week then sign up to #DreamBigAtHome: An online platform providing remote and virtual activities. Opportunities include designing activities, hosting online sessions, writing website content and fundraising activities.

Communications support:

Help Woodcraft Folk reach as many children, young people and volunteers as possible by supporting communication activity. There are volunteer roles available supporting social media, fundraising, website development, film editing, feature writing and more.

Organise a camp:

Our most flexible opportunity, join a team to provide residential experiences to children and young people. Choose to help create engaging activities, organise the food or work out the logistics of hosting 100s or 1000s of young people in a field!

Be part of making the world a better place for all.

Come and join an existing team of over 3,000 volunteers all dedicated to giving children and young people quality Woodcraft Folk experiences.

All volunteer opportunities are fully flexible and can be organised to fit around your existing commitment.
